A SIREN, a Brick Path and a Shed…

ON FEBRUARY 2, 2009, I started writing my fourth novel, Siren, in my usual “writing night” haunt at Rizzo’s in Naperville, IL. Under Siege!

YESTERDAY, A FEW BLOCKS from where I work, a convicted armed robber escaped from his escort on the way to a court sentencing. The guy changed clothes with one of his former guards, hijacked a car and then ditched it not far away — in the parking lot next to the office building where I work! I gotta tell you, it’s hard to get much done when all the buildings and schools in the area go…
