And so it begins!
I’ve spent the past few months getting ready and now it’s really, finally here. The countdown clock on my website currently reads just 2 days ’til the mass market debut of Covenant (and actually, a few folks already have copies, since Amazon.com and the Leisure Book Club already started shipping).
Last week I relaunched my website, www.johneverson.com, and this week, I’ll begin the crazy “tour” schedule I’ve been building all summer to promote Covenant.
I’ll be sending out my monthly e-newsletter tomorrow with a contest to win a free signed copy of the book (so if you’re not signed up, go here and throw your email into the bucket!)
A couple days ago, I did an interview with The Times, an Indiana newspaper about my upcoming signings there, and last night I was a guest on the “Metal Crypt” show on HardRockRadioLive.com. Over the past couple weeks I’ve been sending out review copies to the media, and following up with scads of emails. I’m about done with behind the desk promotion and ready to hit the road!
This Thursday morning, I’ll be driving to Nashville, where I’ll do my first book signing for the novel at a BORDERS store, prior to arriving in Atlanta to be a guest at Dragon*Con on Friday. On Labor Day, I’ll leave Atlanta and do a signing at A NOVEL IDEA in Chattanooga on the way home. After that, there will be 2-4 bookstore visits and signings every week for the next couple of months. I’ll be in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Nashville, Chattanooga, Champaign, IL, Merrillville and Highland IN, and a bunch of places around Chicago.
