This story originally appeared in the last issue of Dead of Night magazine, back in 1995. It was also collected in my short story anthology Cage of Bones.

It was reprinted again in Tourniquet Heart, from Prime Books and Christopher Teague, the editor of Nasty Snips, a British anthology which included my short-short "Mirror Image."
